Best of the non bulky but protective cases. 10/28/19 Update: I now have used the case for about 1 month. I have dropped this phone 3 times (never on concrete) and the case has not sustained any damage and still looks new. I recently purchased their flip wallet which is not as useful as the card wallet. Both wallets cost $40, but the card wallet which holds only 2 cards is small with a minimalist design and possibly overpriced. In order for the flip wallet (which lacks a needed mechanism to stay closed) not to look too bulky, it should not exceed 4 cards and about 5 bills of paper money. You can fit more, but then it looks like your case is overstuffed. After much research I believe this is the BEST of the non bulky but protective cases. The case, which offers storage for 2 sim cards and your phone’s sim card removal tool, is a super snug fit on my phone and requires 2 hands for its removal. The buttons feel solid and it is easily discernible when they are pressed. The plastic feels premium and the case appears to be able to not only protect your phone, but not sustain significant damage in doing so.There are several YouTube videos of people drop testing this case from heights exceeding 10 feet without any damage to the phone. I would have sacrificed some drop protection and preferred something less slippery and more rubbery at the sides. The case does need more gripping abilities. If you add a Pop Socket or similar grip assisting accessory (which needs to be installed in the center or lower center of the case to perform properly), you will not be able to use any of many accessories offered by the Manufacture.Accessories: The case has embedded magnets and the manufacturer offers 2 wallet accessories that will stick to the back of the phone case, the flip wallet and the card wallet (shown in my video). They also offer a round wall mount and according to the manufacture’s customer service, they will be releasing 2 additional accessories shortly, an automobile vent mount and a desk mount.Mous does offer another case line called the Contour. This case also features the concave edge in the middle for easy holding, but is a bit less bulky and does not have embedded magnets. I did not purchase the Mous Contour because I wanted to use their wallet accessories.Attention to detail: The rim heights on the short edges (top and bottom) are approximately 1 mm over the screen. The long edges (left and right) are concave, with the center being thinner and less than 1/2 mm over the screen (with a screen protector). This concave reduction is done for two reasons, first in order to make the phone easier to hold with one hand; and second to make swiping left and right easier. I don’t believe this reduction makes any real difference in drop protection.

Solid feel that provides confidence but is heavy!Very sturdy feeling case that provides all-around protection. I’m rocking this case with the Belkin Glass Protector with no problems at all. The inside of the case is lined with what appears to be a fine microfiber/suede material and has two SIM card cutouts for those that like to travel and the ejector tool. The level of detail that goes into this case can not be understated. I’m a big fan of the raised lip that goes all around the phone but swoops down on the sides so that you don’t feel it when using your phone. Another perk of buying this case over others is their AutoAlign system which allows you to expand your case by adding a slim or full size wallet and various docks that are expected to come out soon for this case. The biggest gripes I have with this case is how heavy the case is and how slippery the back of the case feels. I purchased the Aramid Fibre version of the case and it is heavy! I have shown several people my phone and each time I handed it over the first comment was how heavy the phone felt with the case. I’m sure this is due to the level of protection this case can offer and it’s materials but it is something that needs to voiced. The second issue is how slippery the back feels. The back is very smooth and nice to the touch but does not inspire me to use my phone with one hand. As soon as I try, any little tilt or side movement of the phone almost causes the phone to slip and fall. I’m sure this will vary depending on the size of your hands but it is slippery. I think a nice touch to the case would have been metal buttons instead of plastic. The buttons feel nice and solid but having them made of metal would have definitely elevated the feel-factor of the case. Something similar to Apples leather case that uses metal buttons would have been nice.Overall I do recommend this case and will continue to rock it on my phone. Here is a summary:Pros:Well-Built inside and outAll-around protectionAbility to add accessories to the caseCons:Very heavySlippery feelI purchased this case with my own earned money and was not instructed or persuaded to write this review or it’s contents in exchange for anything.

This case does not protect your iPhone 11 screen.I bought my iPhone 11 pro on 4/10/19 and had a £30 screen protector applied at the Apple store upon purchase. I added this mous case when it arrived on 5/10/19. The phone fell all of 3 feet off the kitchen counter on 6/10/19 and I picked it up to find the screen protector had cracks along the bottom and across the screen. With all the promises made by mous, I would expect the screen protector to survive the fall thanks to the mous cases incredible protection claims. Sadly I can’t recommend this case or the brands customer service. I contacted mous on 6/10/19 about the cracked screen protector and 4 days later I’m still waiting for a response.

Sturdy and practical case with good looks and nice designI was fed up with flip cases that were either too bulky or too difficult to hold when trying to use the phone so I looked for a protective cover that was more practical. The Mous case is ideal for this purpose. It’s a Snug fit which means it won’t fall off easily and it has it a good protective edge. As it’s not supplied with one, I also bought a screen protector (which I would always recommend doing anyway). The Mous protective case has saved my phone on more than one occasion when I’ve dropped it, so as far as I’m concerned it has been a good purchase. I chose the walnut finish and I’m very impressed with it. All the holes are where they should be and the buttons are easy to press. I’ve also bought the magnetic card holder which, although it makes the phone case slightly bulkier, stays surprisingly well attached to the rear of the case.

Doesn’t fit with a screen protectorI bought this case for iPhone 11 Pro Max after seeing a lot of adverts and the good reviews, but unfortunately, it doesn’t fit well with a screen protector on. The middle of the screen is raised above the case edges while both ends are covered. This means the screen is not protected. I have taken some photos showing the issue. It could be a faulty unit, but I am not risking trying another one. I’ll be looking for something else.

Losing the value of wooden textureI’m a huge fan of wooden cases as I find the textured surface very satisfying to touch. So that’s the reason I bought the Mous walnut case for my new iPhone 11 Pro Max. Unfortunately, they polish the wood surface too much to the point it felt just like a marble surface! This unfortunately means Mous took away my favorite part of the wood product… Though the case seems strong enough, I still replaced it with RhinoShield(more textured surface) which is cheaper, so why not? lol

Extra protective, well – made, but too heavy and thick. The Mous case for iPhone 11 Pro Max – Limitless 3.0 – Aramid Fibre is very protective, it looks pretty well- made and it comes with a lifetime warranty and iron strips inside to be compatible with magnetic holders. Permits wireless charging. At the same time this case is thick(0.5″) and quite heavy – its weight is 55 grams that makes the total phone-in-case weight like 281 grams. Such figure may not be acceptable for many people, notably for women. I can agree that big weight is due to some extra drop-protection the case brings, but who in his sober ming is going to drop the $1300 phone from 10 or more feet or from a crane? In MHO the protection from human’s height fall would be quite enough and the ideal case should aslo protect the face side of the phone ( glass) upon fall on uneven hard gravel-like surface. In addition- nobody wants life-time warranty for a phone case as people use to change iPhones for newer models (requiring another type of a case) every 1-3 years. It is quite enough the case should not show to much wear and tear for this period.
